Taiwan Fire Department Live Incidents: 119 Pages by County

This article is general information for reference only and is not legal, tax, medical or engineering advice. Rules, fees and subsidies change; check the latest notice from the responsible authority before acting. For electrical, gas, structural or health risks, consult a licensed professional.

This is the English edition of a Chinese article, adapted with AI assistance and checked against the original. Where the two differ, the Chinese version and the official sources it cites prevail.

To check live incidents for a county or city fire department, go to the "live cases" (即時案件) or "live incidents" (即時災情) page on that fire department’s website; for nationwide disaster information, see the National Fire Agency, Ministry of the Interior. Below, the 22 counties and cities are organized into two tables: the 19 counties and cities with a public case list, and the 3 where we did not find one.

These pages list the cases that fire departments make public after receiving them. Coverage differs by county or city: some list both fires and emergency medical calls, while some, when we checked, showed only fires (Taoyuan, Yilan, Keelung, Nantou) or only fire alarm-type cases (Chiayi City), and some showed only emergency medical cases; the column names and number of columns are also not entirely the same. Locations usually go only as far as a road section or district name, so they cannot be used to judge how large a fire is or whether to evacuate.

Reminder: If you see a case nearby, do not go to watch, and do not occupy the roads that rescue vehicles need. If you need help or are at the scene, call 119 immediately.

Counties and cities with a public live case list

The links below are all official pages that we actually opened on October 28 to 29, 2026. The number of entries, the types of cases and what we saw "when we checked" are only a snapshot of that moment and will change over time. Whether each county or city lists all cases, how long it keeps them and how often it updates are decided by each fire department; a case that is not shown on the page does not mean it did not happen.

Counties and cities where we found no public live case list

For the three counties of Hualien, Kinmen and Lienchiang, we found no entry-by-entry live case page in the official homepage, site navigation or search (checked October 28 to 29, 2026); this means "we did not find one", not "we confirmed there is none", and if the official site adds one later, go by the official site.

Nationwide disaster information

How to read the columns of a case list

  • Time received (受理時間): the column name differs a little by county or city (some call it time of occurrence); on most pages it shows the time the fire department received or logged the case, but go by the official site.
  • Case category and case type (案類, 案別): the category is the broad grouping (for example fire, emergency medical), and the type is a finer classification (for example sudden illness, trauma, car accident, general (collective) housing, false (hoax) alarm). Some counties and cities have no case type column.
  • Location (發生地點): official sites usually make public only the road section or district name, not the street number.
  • Dispatched units (派遣分隊): the fire squads sent out. Fire cases often list several squads at once; the Taipei page does not have this column.
  • Status (執行狀況): the progress of handling. Those we saw include mobilized (已出動), dispatched (已派遣), arrived (已到達), arrived at hospital (到達醫院), leaving hospital (離開醫院), returning to station (返隊中), returned to station (已返隊), left hospital (已離院), fire extinguished (火已滅), and so on. The terms are not entirely the same across counties and cities; go by the official site.

Viewing this data on this site

Cases for Taichung, Changhua, Kaohsiung, Nantou and New Taipei can be seen directly on the county or city page of this site’s "live disaster map" (即時災情地圖); the same page also has water outage notices, special weather statements from the Central Weather Administration (CWA) and Taipower power supply status (the power supply is a nationwide overview). The county or city pages for other counties and cities carry the official links from the table above. Enter your county or city from the live disaster map.

If your home runs into a water outage, power outage or flooding, you can read on: water outage preparation checklist, how to look up Taipower outage notices and typhoon and heavy rain self-rescue guide; if you smell gas, see emergency steps for a gas leak, and for home fire prevention see installation rules for residential fire alarms (住警器).

FAQ

How often do the live case pages update?

That is decided by each fire department. From the page code we saw that Taichung reloads about every 30 seconds, Chiayi County about every 60 seconds, Changhua about every 90 seconds and Kaohsiung about every 120 seconds; the Taipei page has no automatic refresh. For other counties and cities, go by the official site.

Why can’t I find case-by-case incidents for my county or city?

Not every fire department publishes a case list. In counties and cities where none is public, you can only look at announcements on the official site or at the National Fire Agency’s disaster information; in an emergency, call 119 directly.

Can I use these pages to decide whether to evacuate?

No. The list has only the case category, road section and handling status, with nothing on the size of the fire or the area affected. For evacuation, follow notices from firefighters, the neighborhood chief (里長, lǐzhǎng) and the government.
